Membership Criteria
NAVA Industry Partner Program
NAVA does not approve partners whose practices undermine talent rights or misrepresent the use of AI.
Partnering With Integrity in the Voiceover Industry
The NAVA Industry Partner Program connects ethical businesses with the voice acting community while upholding NAVA’s commitment to Consent, Control, and Compensation. Industry Partners support NAVA’s mission and agree to operate in alignment with standards that protect voice talent, promote transparency, and encourage responsible innovation while advancing our shared values in the entertainment, advertising, and creative industries.
Industry Partner status is not a NAVA membership and does not imply NAVA’s endorsement. It is a values-based affiliation grounded in advancing shared industry goals, accountability, support, and trust.
The program is designed for organizations and professionals that work alongside voice actors, including:
- Animation studios, game designers, and developers
- Casting platforms, freelance marketplaces, and networking institutions
- Management companies and talent agencies
- Recording studios, post production studios, production companies, advertising agencies, and creative firms
- Coaching, education, and training providers, colleges & universities
- Technology and AI companies operating in the voice space (Must also join the fAIr Voices Pledge)
- Publishers, developers, and service providers supporting voice talent
Partners come from a wide range of business models, but all share a commitment to ethical engagement with voiceover professionals.
Our Ethical Framework: The Three Cs
All Industry Partners must certify alignment with NAVA’s core ethical standards. These standards apply to use of any Generative AI system in your professional work within the voiceover industry. Examples include: Generating character art work, generating practice scripts, generating marketing and website materials, generating any content that you will use in your capacity as a professional within the voiceover industry.
Consent
Talent must provide clear, informed, and documented consent for how their voice, likeness, artwork, creative work, or data is used.
Control
Talent retains meaningful control over scope, duration, reuse, and modification of their voice, performance, art work or creation.
Compensation
Partners commit to fair market compensation and transparent payment practices.
These principles apply to all publicly available business models, including emerging and AI-driven technologies.
